Matrix Eastern Europe, the offshore division of Matrix IT, one of the leading global R&D services companies with more than 11,000 professionals, is looking for Senior Python Developer to join one of our teams.

About the Role:
Our partner and client offers a cloud-based enterprise software solution for financial institutions, focusing on mortgage loan investments. The role is backend-focused, with a strong emphasis on building scalable, secure, and high-performance systems.

Responsibilities

Lead integrations with client’s third-party vendors and partners, ensuring smooth and reliable connectivity between external systems and client’s platform.
Design, build, and maintain scalable RESTful APIs that support business needs and integrations.
Develop and optimize backend systems, database schemas, and server-side logic for high-performance cloud applications.
Collaborate closely with the product and engineering teams to implement best practices for security, scalability, and reliability.
Contribute to architecture decisions, code reviews, and mentoring of junior developers.
Work with cloud infrastructure (AWS or equivalent) to deploy, monitor, and maintain backend services.
Optimize caching strategies and system performance using Redis or similar technologies.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of backend development experience with Python 3.
Proven experience of integrations with external APIs for 2-way data sync.
Strong experience with Django and Django REST Framework is a big advantage.
Proven track record in building scalable, secure RESTful APIs.
Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.
Strong knowledge of database management (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or equivalent).
Experience with Redis for caching and performance optimization is a plus.
Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) and software design principles.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to lead integration projects with external partners.
