Lead Java Developer

Matrix Eastern Europe, the offshore division of Matrix IT, one of the leading global R&D services companies with more than 11, 000 professionals, is looking for a Lead Java Developer to join the team of our client and partner.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Java developers.

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices-based applications.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate multiple systems and services.

  • Ensure code quality, performance, and security through code reviews and best practices.

  • Manage deployment processes and monitor applications on AWS.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across systems and interfaces.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of Java development experience.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience leading a development team.

  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with:

    • Microservices architecture and concepts

    • Spring Boot

    • Databases: MySQL, MongoDB

    • Messaging platforms: Kafka

    • REST APIs

    • Logging frameworks: Log4J/SLF4J

    • AWS Lambda and Step Functions

  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree is highly desirable.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
