We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Power BI Developer to join our digital development team at Teva. This role focuses on designing and developing enterprise-grade Power BI solutions that deliver actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Power BI, including data modeling, Power Query, DAX, and custom visuals—with a strong preference for experience using Deneb.

Responsibilities

  • Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum project methodologies.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and understand reporting and analytics requirements.
  • Design and develop interactive Power BI dashboards and reports using best practices in data visualization and user experience.
  • Build and optimize data models using Power BI Desktop, ensuring performance and scalability.
  • Perform data transformation and cleansing using Power Query (M language).
  • Write efficient and maintainable DAX measures and calculated columns.
  • Develop and maintain custom visuals, with a focus on Deneb (Vega/Vega-Lite) for advanced customization.
  • Integrate Power BI with various data sources including Azure Databricks, SQL Server, SharePoint, and Dataverse.
  • Implement row-level security (RLS) and manage workspace access and deployment pipelines.
  • Conduct testing, debugging, and performance tuning of Power BI reports and datasets.
  • Provide documentation, training, and support to end-users and business teams.
  • Stay current with Power BI updates and recommend best practices for implementation and governance.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.
  • Experience with custom visuals, especially using Deneb (Vega/Vega-Lite).
  • Proficiency in data transformation, ETL processes, and data integration.
  • Experience working with Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake, or similar cloud-based data platforms.
  • Solid understanding of data visualization principles and UX design.
  • Experience with version control tools (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines for Power BI
  • Familiarity with Power Platform components (Power Apps, Power Automate) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of REST APIs and integrating external data sources is a plus.
