We are seeking a skilled and results-oriented Marketer to join our growing software company. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing marketing strategies to drive awareness, engagement, and lead generation for our software products and services. You will work closely with the product, sales, and customer success teams to ensure that marketing initiatives align with the company’s objectives and resonate with our target audience.

This is a hands-on role that offers the opportunity to work across a variety of marketing channels, including digital marketing, content creation, lead generation, and customer outreach, with a particular focus on software solutions and technology markets.

Responsibilities

  1. Marketing Strategy & Campaign Development
  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies for software products, including planning and launching integrated campaigns across digital, email, social media, and other marketing channels.
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for each campaign, measure campaign success, and optimize performance to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to align marketing campaigns with business objectives, product launches, and sales goals.
  1. Content Marketing
  • Create and manage high-quality content that educates, engages, and nurtures potential customers, including blog posts, white papers, case studies, product documentation, and social media content.
  • Work with subject matter experts to generate technical content that resonates with software buyers, developers, and other technical audiences.
  • Develop messaging that communicates the unique value proposition of the software products, translating complex features into clear benefits for potential users.
  1. Lead Generation & Nurturing
  • Design and implement lead generation campaigns to drive interest in the company’s software solutions. Utilize tactics such as paid advertising (Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads), email marketing, webinars, SEO, and content offers to attract high-quality leads.
  • Build and manage customer segments to nurture leads through automated email sequences, personalized content, and drip campaigns.
  • Track lead conversion rates and optimize the lead funnel to improve the quality and volume of leads that are passed to the sales team.
  1. Digital Marketing & SEO
  • Oversee the optimization of the company’s website for search engines (SEO), ensuring high visibility and ranking for targeted keywords related to the software products.
  • Implement and manage digital marketing campaigns across Google Ads, LinkedIn, Facebook, and other relevant platforms to drive traffic and conversions.
  • Analyze and report on web traffic and user behavior using tools like Google Analytics, and provide actionable insights to optimize user experience and increase conversion rates.
  1. Social Media Marketing & Community Building
  • Manage the company’s social media presence, including developing a content calendar, posting regularly on platforms such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.
  • Engage with the online community, respond to inquiries, and foster relationships with followers to build brand loyalty and trust.
  • Identify trends in the software and technology space, share thought leadership, and drive discussions that position the company as an industry leader.
  1. Customer & Market Research
  • Conduct market research to understand the software industry landscape, customer pain points, competitor strategies, and new trends that can inform marketing decisions.
  • Develop buyer personas and customer journeys to ensure that marketing campaigns are targeted effectively at the right segments.
  • Collaborate with the product team to gather customer feedback, track satisfaction, and identify potential features or products for future development.
  1. Product Launches & Promotions
  • Coordinate and execute marketing campaigns around new software releases, updates, or major feature announcements.
  • Work closely with product managers and sales teams to ensure that product launches are strategically timed, effectively communicated, and well-supported by marketing efforts.
  • Create product-related content, such as demo videos, tutorials, and explainer articles, to assist in the launch and post-launch phases.
  1. Marketing Automation & CRM Management
  • Utilize marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot) to set up and manage email campaigns, workflows, lead nurturing, and customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
  • Continuously optimize CRM strategies to improve engagement with prospects and customers, ensuring efficient lead tracking, scoring, and segmentation.
  1. Analytics, Reporting & Performance Optimization
  • Track, analyze, and report on the performance of all marketing campaigns, ensuring clear ROI measurement and alignment with business goals.
  • Provide regular performance updates to senior leadership, recommending adjustments or new strategies based on data-driven insights.
  • Use A/B testing and other optimization techniques to continuously refine messaging, creative, and targeting to maximize campaign effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Education:
    A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Experience:
    2-3 years of experience in marketing, preferably in the software, SaaS, or tech industry, with a strong understanding of B2B and B2C marketing strategies.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms (Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Facebook Ads, etc.).
    • Strong understanding of SEO best practices and experience with SEO tools (e.g., Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz).
    • Experience with marketing automation platforms (HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot) and CRM tools (Salesforce, Pipedrive).
    • Familiarity with analytics tools (Google Analytics, Hotjar, etc.) to measure and report on campaign performance.
  • Content Creation:

Strong writing skills, with experience creating both technical and non-technical content. Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling messages for a diverse audience.

  • Project Management:

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Communication Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively to both internal teams and external stakeholders.

  • Analytical Thinking:

Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to improve marketing performance.

  • Creativity:

Ability to think creatively and develop innovative marketing strategies that set the company apart from competitors.
