Matrix Eastern Europe, the offshore division of Matrix IT, one of the leading global R&D services companies with more than 10,000 professionals, is looking for an AWS DevOps Engineer to join one of the client’s teams!

We are looking for an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with AWS technologies, particularly with Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), EC2, and building CI/CD pipelines. You will play a key role in the automation, deployment, and maintenance of our cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain AWS infrastructure including EC2, S3, RDS, and other AWS services.
  • Work with Amazon EKS for deploying, managing, and scaling Kubernetes applications.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
  • Collaborate with development teams to automate software deployments and configuration management.
  • Automate cloud infrastructure management using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
  • Monitor cloud infrastructure, resolve issues, and optimize performance and cost.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth production operations.
  • Stay up to date with the latest AWS offerings and best practices.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years experience working with AWS services (EKS, EC2, S3, Lambda, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and deploying applications using EKS.
  • Proficiency in building CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, AWS CodePipeline).
  • Strong scripting skills in languages like Python, Bash, or Shell.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Solid understanding of version control systems like Git.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Grafana.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with agile teams.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
