Application Penetration Tester (Security Researcher & Penetration Tester)

Responsibilities

  • Perform security assessments on web and mobile applications, identifying vulnerabilities and delivering in-depth reports.
  • Simulate real-world attacks to help customers proactively improve their security.
  • Collaborate with clients worldwide (primarily in the US and UK) to gather system information and perform penetration testing.
  • Provide remediation guidance and work closely with clients to improve security posture.
  • Craft detailed reports of findings, adhering to HolistiCyber’s report guidelines.
  • Be available to respond to occasional security emergencies and system breakdowns.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in information security as a Penetration Tester, Red Teamer, or a similar technical role.
  • Expertise in Web application, Mobile, and/or API penetration testing.
  • Proven experience in client-facing roles, including handling emails, meetings, and other forms of communication, especially with US and UK-based clients.
  • Fluent English communication skills (both written and spoken).
  • Self-management and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical findings in business terms to clients.

Advantages

  • Experience with Code Review to identify security flaws in applications.
  • Knowledge of Cloud Security, including configuration in Kubernetes, Azure, AWS, or Microsoft 365.
  • Experience with Network Security and related systems.
  • Skills in Reverse Engineering.
  • Expertise in Architecture Review for both applications and networks.
  • Familiarity with Scripting or a programming background.
