Matrix’s Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) plays a vital role in managing and executing compliance programs for our clients. The Senior Project Manager will oversee a complex project focusing on solving transaction issues and deploying Actimize solutions globally. This role requires extensive experience and a proven track record in managing high-stakes projects.

Responsibilities

  • Provide deep subject matter expertise in Actimize SAM, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience, focusing on both standard and custom Actimize rules.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis and support for payment systems, booking systems, and static data (clients, accounts, etc.), ensuring smooth integration with AML transaction monitoring solutions.
  • Utilize strong data analytics skills to analyze and interpret large volumes of data, supporting business needs and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the accurate implementation of AML Transaction Monitoring (TM) standards and best practices within large financial institutions.
  • Optimize database performance, leveraging advanced MS SQL knowledge, including query performance tuning and efficient data processing.
  • Understand and advise on AML-related banking products and the associated business processes, aligning Actimize solutions with business requirements.
  • Actively engage in the development, enhancement, and support of the Actimize data model, ensuring data accuracy and optimal performance.
  • Provide support in ensuring regulatory compliance by developing strategies for implementing AML TM standards in line with industry best practices.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions and ensure that the business and compliance needs are met efficiently.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication in English, both orally and in writing. Proficiency in German and other languages is a plus.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with Actimize SAM, including knowledge of Actimize rules (both standard and custom).
  • Strong understanding of payment systems, booking systems, and static data structures within financial institutions.
  • Proven experience in data analytics and the ability to interpret large datasets to support business and compliance needs.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS SQL, particularly in query performance tuning and optimization.
  • Thorough knowledge of AML Transaction Monitoring standards and their implementation within large global financial institutions.
  • Familiarity with AML-related banking products and the underlying business processes.
  • Good communication skills in both English and German (German is optional for certain regions).
  • Solid understanding of the Actimize data model and how it aligns with business needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong business understanding of AML and compliance-related matters.
