Matrix’s Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) plays a crucial role in managing and executing compliance programs for our clients. As a Data Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines to integrate data into the Actimize platform. Your responsibilities will include optimizing ETL processes, ensuring data quality, and supporting AML solutions with robust data models and schemas.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough gap analysis of new proposed versions of Actimize software and its features to assess the impact on existing functional features and processes.
  • Document and analyze business requirements, data flow, and system functionalities, providing insights and recommendations for improvements.
  • Prepare detailed test cases and lead testing efforts in the System Integration Testing (SIT) phase to ensure software updates meet business and technical requirements.
  • Collaborate with client business users during User Acceptance Testing (UAT), assisting in reviewing and validating test outcomes to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Provide support and guidance to the client during UAT testing, addressing issues and clarifying requirements as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring a shared understanding of goals and requirements across all project phases.
  • Proactively identify areas for improvement in processes, system features, and data integration, providing actionable solutions for enhanced business performance.
  • Ensure clear and comprehensive documentation is maintained throughout the project lifecycle, including analysis reports, testing documentation, and final recommendations.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst or in a similar role within the financial or technology industries, with a focus on business analysis, data analysis, and system integration.
  • Advanced knowledge of Business Intelligence (BI) solutions, preferably Tableau, with the ability to generate meaningful insights and reporting.
  • Strong understanding of Actimize software, including its various versions, functional capabilities, and impact on business processes.
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and German (oral and written). Proficiency in additional languages is a plus. German is optional for certain positions.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business users, technical teams, and quality assurance groups, to drive project success.
  • Experience preparing and executing test cases during SIT and UAT, ensuring that deliverables meet the defined requirements and client expectations.
  • Strong attention to detail with a quality-oriented mindset and the ability to work in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities.
  • Proactive and self-driven professional, able to work independently while also contributing to team objectives.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Business, IT, or related discipline). A Master’s degree is a plus.
